Professor Yeon Soo Lee

Professor of Biomedical Engineering, College of Medical Science Catholic University of Daegu, Republic of Korea

Professor Yeon Soo Lee is a distinguished scholar specializing in clinical and orthopedic biomechanics as well as computational biomedical engineering. He is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Medical Science, Catholic University of Daegu, Korea. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Chonnam National University in 2000, and completed research training at Nihon University, Japan, and the University of California, Irvine, USA.

His research focuses on orthopedic and dental biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, and computational biosimulation using finite element modeling. Prof. Lee has published extensively in leading journals such as The American Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of Biomechanics, and Annals of Biomedical Engineering. A former President of the Biomedical Engineering Division of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers (KSME), he actively contributes to the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS, USA) and continues to advance innovations in computer-assisted surgery, implant design, and biomechanical modeling that bridge engineering and clinical medicine.
