As Director of Research & Development at CIC FORUM8 Lab in Tokyo, he leads cutting-edge work in virtual city and building simulation. Previously, as Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation at Victoria University of Wellington, he advanced digital architecture education, expanded programs, and established new schools in Entertainment and Architectural Technologies. A former president of ANZAScA and CAADRIA, Dr. Schnabel has led major research in virtual reality, digital heritage, and intelligent cities.
