Prof. Yu-Cheng Chiu, Ph.D.

Prof. Yu-Cheng Chiu, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and Head of the Polymer Morphology & Electronics Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University. His research focuses on polymer science, stretchable and self-healing semiconductor materials, flexible optoelectronic devices, and organic electronics.

Prof. Chiu developed the world’s first nano self-healing platform for flexible semiconductor materials used in electronic skin applications. He has published over 80 SCI papers with more than 6,400 citations, and received major awards such as the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award (2024) and Changrong Li Outstanding Young Researcher Award (2023).
