Prof. Vincenzo Spallina, Ph.D.

The University of Manchester

    Prof. Vincenzo Spallina, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chair of Sustainable Process Intensification at The University of Manchester. He graduated from Politecnico di Milano with a Ph.D. in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology (cum laude). His research focuses on chemical process intensification, gas–solid reactions and separations, and bioenergy, contributing significantly to the development of sustainable reactor technologies and low-emission processes.

    Prof. Spallina has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications with more than 2,300 citations and an H-index of 29, led nine major research projects worth over £12 million, and received several prestigious awards, including the Best Application Paper Award (ASME Turbo Expo 2011) and the Best Presentation Award (High Temperature Solid Looping Network 2013).
