Prof. Shuo-Yan Chou

National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST)

    Prof. Shuo-Yan Chou is a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Industrial Management, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and his B.B.A. in Industrial Management from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. His research focuses on technology-enabled services, smart and renewable energy systems, Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT), smart logistics, and sustainable development.

    Prof. Chou has received numerous Best Paper and Research Excellence Awards, including recognition from IEEE, ISPE, and NTUST, and has served as a visiting professor at leading institutions worldwide, such as MIT, ETH Zurich, Aalto University, and the University of Tokyo. With over 100 international journal publications and multiple edited books with Springer, his contributions have significantly advanced global knowledge in smart manufacturing and sustainable innovation.
