Assoc. Prof. Samad Mohammad EbrahimzadeSepasgozar

The University of New South Wales

    Dr. Samad Sepasgozar is an Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, with a Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management from UNSW. His research focuses on digital twin technologies, smart cities, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and construction innovation. He has published over 300 high-impact academic papers and 10 books, and his work has positioned him among the top 5 global researchers in Digital Twin studies and within the top 2% of scientists worldwide, according to Stanford University rankings. Recognized as a world leader in Architecture (Computer Science and Engineering) by The Australian for three consecutive years (2023–2025), Dr. Sepasgozar is also an Associate Editor for the Journal of Architectural Engineering (ASCE) and a Guest Editor for several leading Q1 journals. His numerous accolades include the Publons Top Reviewer Award (2019) and multiple Editor’s Choice Paper Awards for his outstanding research contributions to smart and sustainable built environments.
