Dr. Niccolò Giannetti is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Energy and Environmental System, Waseda University, Japan. He earned his Doctor of Engineering degree from Waseda University, after completing his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florence, Italy. His research focuses on the dynamics and control of heat pumps and air conditioners, nonequilibrium thermodynamics, and the optimization of heat transfer systems using artificial intelligence.
Dr. Giannetti has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed international publications, holds two patents in air-conditioning technology, and has received several prestigious awards, including the Academic Award (2023) and the Outstanding Lecture Award (2021) from the Japan Society of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (JSRAE).
